Statement sets out how The Friends of Royal Wanstead School (FoRWS) comply

any information that you provide when you use our website or subscribe to our
mailing list and the details of the data which we hold.

The FoRWS is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. All Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that is collated by FoRWS for the purpose of maintaining alumni contact will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What Personal Information we Collect

previous name used during your school years (required)
• your address and postcode (required for postal mailings)
• your phone number (optional)

• the dates you attended RWS (required)
• your reason for joining mailing list - Pupil, Relative etc (required)
Why we collect
We use the data provided on our mailing list to provide you with information relating to the activities of The FoRWS; which includes alumni events such as reunions and other news.
Your details are held within a Mailchimp Automation Platform for use in circulating emails and attachments in relation to the activities of FoRWS

to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised
access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable procedures to safeguard and
secure the information we collect online. Access to your personally
identifiable information is kept secure and is limited to specific authorised

You may request for what purpose it is being stored and ask for a copy of your data. Your data will be supplied after we have confirmed your identity and as soon as is practical. There is no charge for making a request or for the electronic data file, but if the number and frequency of requests are unreasonable we may charge an admin fee.
Right to Correction
You are in control. Mailchimp provide you with the tools to control your account information using the update your preferences link at the bottom of all the emails we send. From this link you can:-

· View and update your contact preferences for receiving information
· Unsubscribe from future mailings

Right to Erasure
If you want to remove your personal data from our records, you can request this by contacting us at sec@FoRWS.co.uk. We will remove the data as far as it is practically within our power and where we are not legally obliged to retain it.
